How old is the Chill Factore?
After two years in the making, Chill Factore launched in November 2007 bringing the UK’s longest indoor real snow slope (180 metres) to the North West. Since opening the doors Chill Factore has welcomed over 3 million visitors and is regarded as a leading UK visitor attraction!
How steep is Chill Factore?
The height of the building is 45m. The main slope starts at 40m at the top widening to 100m at the bottom. The area covered by snow is 10,200 sq m. This equates to around 1,632 tonnes of snow, based on a snow depth of 40cm.
Can you wear trainers to chill factor?
Trainers are not suitable. Lift pass and lesson prices include boots, skis, poles, snowboard and helmets but you are more than welcome to bring your own.

The £31m Chill Factore, owned by London-based equity fund Bridges Ventures, opened in November 2007 and has since had more than three million visitors. As well as skiing, the complex has a climbing wall, bars, cafés, restaurants and shops, employing around 250 people in total.
