How do I activate my Boveda pack?
Do I need to activate the Bóveda packets? No. Bóveda packets are ready to use when you receive them. All you need to do is take each Bóveda packet out of the clear over-wrap and simply place them inside your desktop humidor and you’re done.
Are you supposed to open Boveda packs?
To use Boveda, simply tear open the plastic wrapper on the outside of the pack. Then remove the Boveda. Take care not to cut or tear the actual Boveda. If you bought Boveda in a resealable or recloseable bag, each Boveda will not be individually wrapped in plastic.
How long does Humidipak take to work?

Boveda begins to work immediately. Once placed in an airtight container, Boveda can bring the internal relative humidity (RH) to precisely the level marked on the Boveda within 20 minutes.
Can you put cigars on top of Boveda?
Boveda is FDA approved and food safe. Since Boveda is made from only natural salts and water, it won’t change the taste of your cigars. But Boveda will enhance those flavors as it protects the oils and sugars in the tobacco. So feel free to slip Boveda in, among and on top of your cigars.

As the humidity in a Boveda pack is depleted, the pack firms up. Boveda packs progressively reveal a beady texture before the edges stiffen up. The center of the pouch loses its cushion and feels more like cardboard. Simply discard stiff Boveda packs and replace them with fresh pouches.
