Who does Idate like?
Tatsumiya
Tatsumiya is Idate’s acquaintance. He assisted her in escaping from Old. A bonus scene in Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea implies that she has a crush on him. It has been stated that since Tatsumiya is very gentle, Idate would treat her in a gentlemanly manner.
What happened to Idate?
At the end, Idate has a sort of reconciliation with his Konoha ninja brother and forms a bond with Naruto. Though he sails away, the scene makes it seem like he’ll be back when he’s grown stronger. Idate is never seen again.

After a moment, Wadanohara gets up and, with the power of her Father’s staff, restores the sea, sacrificing her own life in the process. The final scene shows Samekichi regretting how he couldn’t do anything and that a world without Wadanohara is worthless to him. In the end, Samekichi dives into the water.
