How long does a UKAS certificate last?
4-year
UKAS accreditation is granted for a 4-year period. During this time, accreditation is continually monitored by UKAS and renewed in the fourth year following a full reassessment. The expiry date on the platform is the date by which the renewal of accreditation must be granted following a reassessment.
How long does it take to get UKAS accreditation?

If the organisation is ready and able to provide UKAS with convincing evidence to demonstrate that they conform fully to the standard then the process can take as little as 6 to 8 months from application to grant of accreditation. The assessment process devised by UKAS should normally take 6-12 months.

Which is better British Council or IDP?
To be honest, there is no difference in writing the exam through British Council or IDP. The marking criteria are exactly the same in both. The test is valid in countries like Canada, Newzealand, UK, USA and many countries irrespective of whether the test is taken through IDP or BC.
