How long does Infacol last for after opening? Once opened, Infacol should be used within 28 days.
Does Infacol work straight away?
It does take time to be effective though (around a week- some people say 2 weeks) and you MUST burp them if you use it, otherwise they get very uncomfortable.
Can I give my 2 week old Infacol?
Infacol can be used from birth onwards, unlike gripe waters, which are only suitable for babies of 1 month old, or over.

It is likely that your baby will get wind sometimes, as air can get into their tummy whilst feeding. You can generally ease the discomfort this causes by straightening her back and letting them burp.
Can Infacol make things worse?

Can you give too much Infacol?
Contact a doctor, health visitor or pharmacist if you have taken or given your baby more than the recommended dose of simeticone. Taking too much simeticone is not likely to cause any serious problems. However, it may cause headaches, an upset stomach, diarrhoea or constipation.
