How to unlock glamouring in FFXIV
- Go to Vesper Bay (Western Thanalan)
- Speak to Swyrgeim. She can be found leaning on a wall in the Bay’s main square.
- Obtain the quest ‘If I had a Glamour’ You will be asked to bring Swyrgeim Blood Orange Juice.
- Give the Blood Orange Juice to Swygeim to unlock glamouring.
How does glamor work FFXIV?
It allows the player to take on various appearances, regardless of the gear they are wearing. The glamour system can be used on all gear the same or lower equipment level than your current gear. After using a glamour prism, the gear being copied can be entrusted to your retainer.

Right click (or whatever PS3/4 option is) the item > Cast Glamour > Select “Remove” on the right side, it’s an option right at the top just like any item you could use for glamouring > It’ll tell you you need the Glamour Dispeller as the catalyst (which you already have) > Click Dispel and you’re all de-glamoured.
Can you glamour items from other classes?
The short answer is no.
Are glamour prisms reusable?
Yes, that’s possible. There are no “glamour skins”, its just, other pieces of equipment. When you glamour something, it jus copies the appearance, not changing the piece of gear you are using the appearance of at all.
Can you get more glamour plates FFXIV?
Alongside new hairstyles for Hrothgar and Viera in Patch 6.1, the team is also increasing the number of Glamour Plates available. Players will get access to five more Plates, for a total of 20. In addition, the FFXIV team has heard your cries! You’ll be able to activate Glamour Plates in nearly every Sanctuary.
