- Speak to Skjor.
- Speak to Farkas.
- Retrieve the fragment.
- Return to Jorrvaskr.
- Follow Vilkas.
How do you beat vilkas?
The battle is simple enough: just swipe your weapon(s) at him a few times and it will be over. He will just hold up his shield the whole time. You will not be able to use magic against Vilkas, unless you use bound weapons, see this video example.

Walkthrough
- Train with Vilkas. The old man said to have a look at you, so let’s do this.
- Give Vilkas’s Sword to Eorlund. Eorlund Gray-Mane is found right next to the courtyard, up a set of stairs and next to the Skyforge.
- Bring Aela Her Shield. Leave the Skyforge and go to Jorrvaskr’s living quarters.
- Follow Farkas.
Can you get kicked out of The Companions?
Unfortunately you can’t leave a guild, but there is one way to make them not recognize you! First leave Whiterun (or whatever city your guild is in), wait 10 hrs, then go back and hit one of the members, after that, run away, leave the city, and repeat until they don’t recognize you as a guild member!
Can you complete Companions without becoming werewolf?
The Companions storyline is a completely separate one from the main quest, so deciding to not finish the companions storyline and not becoming a werewolf will not stop you from completing the main quest, nor will it have a negative effect on the main quest.
Who is better Farkas or vilkas?
Farkas has a much better attitude, doesn’t babble on at the ceremony and is just generally less annoying. Also the whole “big tough warrior with the deep love” thing is awesome. But he’s weak and talks a lot about bashing things. Vilkas is more romantic, intelligent and far stronger.
