Will there be a Pennsic War in 2021?
The Pennsic War, the Society for Creative Anachronism’s largest event, has been cancelled and rescheduled to 2021 due to the coronavirus outbreak. The annual medieval encampment draws more than 10,000 people from all over the world to witness the mock war between the SCA’s Kingdom of the East and the Middle Kingdom.

Many are wondering what is going on this year and trying to decide what to do now that Pennsic has announced its cancellation for the 2021 season.
How do you join the Pennsic War?
You can pre-register in one of three ways:
- Mail in a pre-registration form. Download a form from the Coopers’ Lake website.
- On-line prepaid registration. The deadline is June 19th, 11:59 pm EDT.
- On-line unpaid pre-registration. The deadline is July 5th, 11:59 pm EDT.
Where are the Pennsic wars?
Coopers’ Lake Campground is a 500-acre site, located in Slippery Rock, PA. The campground has several shower houses and restrooms, and many porta-johns are rented for the event.
How many people go to Pennsic?
Pennsic is also the largest Society event, with attendance in recent years exceeding 10,000. The scheduled activities include large melee battles, tournaments, archery, stage performances, dancing, and hundreds of classes on medieval topics.
