What resolution should Unity textures be?

Per default, the maximum size of imported textures is 1024×1024. You can modify this in the import settings of the texture, up to 4096×4096. Unfortunately Unity does not support larger textures, and only very high-end graphics card actually support textures larger than that.

Can unity have good graphics?

Its all cool, but kind of wrong and not good if you look at it in the details. Still unity has alot off benefits and the graphics are good enough. But if you want to make the greatest visuals posible, unity is not the way to go, unless you are a full in openGL programer and rewrite most of unitys features.
