Episenta contains the active substance sodium valproate, which belongs to a group of medicines called antiepileptics which are used to control epileptic seizures and mania. mania, where you may feel very excited, elated, agitated, enthusiastic or hyperactive. How do you use Episenta granules?
Episenta granules should be swallowed without chewing with plenty of liquid, e.g. a full glass of water. Tear open the sachet and sprinkle or stir the contents into soft food or a drink and swallow immediately without chewing or crushing the granules. The food or drink should be cold or at room temperature.
What is Episenta 300mg for?

What happens if you take too much sodium valproate?

Can you overdose on Episenta?
Episenta® decreases phenytoin total plasma concentration and increases the free form of phenytoin leading to possible overdosage symptoms. Therefore, clinical monitoring is recommended with the free form of phenytoin being measured,when phenytoin plasma levels are determined.
Does Epival make you sleepy?

Epival Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Monitor the baby for unusual bruising or bleeding, jaundice and other signs of liver damage.
Is Epival used for depression?
This medication is typically used for absence (petit mal) seizures in epilepsy or for mixed tonic-clonic epileptic seizures. It may also be used for bipolar disorder (manic-depressive illness), for the prevention of migraines, as well as for other uses.
