What happens at the end of the movie Cake?
Claire is driven to her son’s gravesite by Silvana. She puts wind chimes over his grave, just like Roy did at Nina’s. Back in the car, Claire has a sudden urge to try to sit upright. She changes her mind at first but as the film concludes, she pulls the lever and the chair returns to sitting position.
Is Cake a good movie?
A great showcase for the new, dramatic Aniston but it isn’t a great film. In it’s final moments the movie grasps for a feel good ending which is just slightly out of reach. Cake is lacking any of the flavor that would be needed to make this film sweet. The weak screenplay only gives us a sliver of our characters.
