The Surly Long Haul Trucker Disc is still available with either 26in or 700c wheels, but exactly which size each comes in has changed slightly. The previous generation of the bike was available with 26in wheels right up to a 58cm frame. The 700c version was available from a 56cm frame up to 64cm.

I originally fell in love with Surly due to their ingenious attention to detail and their refreshing, original and imaginative take on the traditional touring bike. The Surly ECR is a true tribute to the genius of the brand.
What is the most special about the ECR?
The ECR is one of over a half dozen Surly bikes that have been in my stable, and it’s by far the most special. And although it was a great bike, nostalgia gets the blame for that designation.
Why did they stop making the ECR and Chronicle?
Everyone has to realize that the reason that the ECR and the Chronicle have been discontinued is because they were not selling. If these products were flying out door, they would not have been discontinued.
How much ground clearance do I need for the ECR?
The ECR is designed with a bit lower BB clearance than most bikepacking bikes, fine for 2.5 to 3″ plus tires. I expect 2.35″ would be fine, but, particularly if you have 175mm crank arms, your ground clearance might get tight. I’m still digesting this.
