What does Dali perfume smell like?
Despite being billed as a Floral Chypre, Dalí really is closer to a Floral Oriental. The base, rather than being about mosses and patchouli, is comprised of a cosy blend of vanilla and sandalwood. It feels completely bronze (as opposed to golden) to my nose and is both creamy and dusty all at once.

What does Laguna by Salvador Dali smell like?
The dry down is warm, woody, and balsamic with creamy vanilla, coconut, sandalwood, and tonka. The tonka really makes this fragrance for me and gives it a nice, warm spiciness. Gorgeous! Laguna by Salvador Dali is a unique scent. On me the first spritz is heavily green with a bit of citrus.
What do you think of Salvador Dali fragrance?
It is too oriental to be a warm weather fragrance, but too zesty and tropical to work during winter. In spite of all this, it is a pleasant and accessible fragrance. Even though Salvador Dali himself was a surrealist, all of the fragrances released under his name seem impressionistic.

His works weren’t necessarily best-selling, but they acted like underground superstars, in the same way that original indie bands like the Pixies or Pavement did. Laguna, released under the Salvador Dali house, seems to have more influence than one might think.
What is your review of Laguna perfume?
There are a LOT of notes listed for this fragrance, but I get lime zest (definitely lime, not lemon), coconut and a gentle iris only. It’s a faint, sweet, musky aquatic with very low sillage…and I absolutely LOVE it! Laguna manages to be fresh, sweet, tropical, beachy and calming all at the same time. A quirky, clever, ethereal little fragrance.
