Do I need a permit to use the recycling centre?
Adapted vans/pick ups do not need a permit to use the recycling centre. However, you will need to apply for an exemption card which can only be used alongside your blue badge. Can’t take it to the recycling centre yourself?
What vehicles are not allowed in the recycling centre?
Horseboxes, tractors, Panelled vans over 3.5 tonnes and all flat beds, tippers, drop sides, box vans and caged vehicles are not allowed to use our recycling centres. Before entering, you will need to have the following with you to show to the site attendant: Permit if your vehicle requires one.
When do you collect bulky waste from the recycling centre?
The service runs from March to November. This is a chargeable service. If you pay in full when you apply, you will receive a 15% discount. Can’t take it to the recycling centre yourself? We provide a bulky waste collection and will collect up to three large items such as a fridge, wardrobe etc. for £25 from your usual collection point.
