Even buying aftermarket from private sellers, New/Sealed is a must. I want to be the one to open it. If you are running out of space, keep the boxes for the bigger sets (>$100) and throw the smaller ones away. I never keep the battle pack and buildable figure boxes because they have to be torn to be opened.

The most gentle glue that would not damage the LEGO elements too much but will hold the model together is simple white school-glue. You only need to add very little in between elements so the glue doesn’t come out at the edges.

Gluing your bricks can make them change shape and we think it’s way more fun to be able to take your sets apart and rebuild them into something new!

Sell The Disassembled Lego Sets If you have a few Lego sets you have not touched in years, you could always sell them to other Lego fans. This way, you know the sets are going to someone who is going to take care of them.
