I’ve used this Whirley Popper several times, and it’s just lovely. It looks good, the wooden handle and crank feel good in the hand, the smoothness of the turning mechanism feels good; it’s well-crafted and it’s obvious. Wonderful. See far too little of that these days.

What is the best oil for Whirley Pop?
Recommended oils are our Classic Blend Popping Oil (a blend of coconut and canola oils), peanut, corn, canola, or even Green Tea oil. Not recommended is butter or olive oil.

No, according to the manufacturer, Whirley pop poppers are not dishwasher safe. The pot itself can be dishwater is safe, however, putting the lid in the dishwater is not.
