Does FIXD app really work?

The Fixd sensor won’t actually fix your car for you, but it does a great job of diagnosing issues quickly and accurately. It’s affordable, a snap to install, and easy to use, and with one exception, it worked as advertised in our tests.

Does FIXD track location?

The Services include features that use location data, including GPS signals, Wi-Fi access points, and cell tower IDs. This enables us to detect when you are driving, and to enable location-based features such as maps within the application.

Do you leave FIXD plugged in all the time?

Yes, you can leave your sensor plugged in! If you plan on not operating your vehicle for more than a few days, we recommend removing your sensor.

How many times can you use FIXD?

You can use your FIXD Sensor to scan as many vehicles as many times as you want at no extra cost. Is there a free app for FIXD?

Can FIXD detect transmission problems?

You can use FIXD’s live data feature to help with this. If the timing of the noises lines up with the timing of the shifting periods, it could be your transmission.

Can FIXD clear codes?

If the code is emissions related, FIXD cannot clear it due to Federal Regulations. You must get the issue fixed and then the code will be cleared after 30 miles of driving. If it is not emissions related, please reach out to us.

What phones are compatible with FIXD?

The FIXD app requires a smartphone. It is compatible with iOS 14 operating system or newer and Android devices, 5.0 operating system or newer. It can be found in the App store and in the Google Play store.

Can FIXD reset check engine light?

FIXD makes it super easy to clear the check engine light. This is especially useful when you have an issue that’s easy to fix at home, such as a loose gas cap or simple DIY repair.
