Is Sika setting sand any good?
Top positive review I’ve used Sika ‘Wide Jointing Compound’ on our flagged patio and found it quite good, but its too coarse for the fine joints of block paving. Thought I’d try this for the narrow joints in the block paving and its excellent. It is very fine and dry and brushes in nicely.
Does no grow sand work?
A good product. It is very fine and takes a bit of brushing to and fro to get it in all the cracks. I thought it might just blow away but it appears to have hardened off and is quite stable. It will not kill weeds ( the instructions make this clear) but it will suppress new weed growth.
Can you mix cement with Dansand?

How do I use Dansand?

- Clean off the surface with water as it will have been soiled from cleaning out the old joint filler.
- Mix the NO GROW™ well before use.
- When all of the joints are completely filled, clean the surface with a soft brush.
What is Sika setting sand?
Sika Setting Sand is a moisture curing jointing compound for narrow joints. Faster than traditional methods, it can be simply poured or swept into joints before being saturated with water giving perfect pointing for all types of block paving. Once cured it will not wash out, shrink or crack over time.
How long does Sika sand take to dry?
1 – 2 days
Drying will normally take 1 – 2 days although the time required for full cure is dependent upon temper- ature. At lower temperatures, the cure time will be slower. It will take up to 28 days to achieve full cure. Clean tools immediately after use with warm soapy water.
Does Dansand set hard?
Suitable for jointing paving stones. Simply brush into gaps up to 10mm wide and leave to harden. On contact with water it forms tough, flexible joints with good adhesion.
Do you wet Dansand?
No. Dansand® joint filler is not suitable for areas adjoining swimming pools. Water splashes may lead to the filling material getting into the pool itself or onto the paving.
