As the local public health situation continues to improve, the University has begun to resume allowing visitors on campus.
Does MIT do campus tours?
The Office of Admissions conducts information sessions followed by student-led campus tours for prospective students and families every Monday through Friday, excluding federal, Massachusetts, and Institute holidays and the winter break period (see the MIT academic calendar).
Does Harvard do campus tours?
Audiences of all ages will enjoy the private Historical Tour of Harvard. Tours are offered to K-12 students, college students, the Harvard community, professional groups, and more. All tour requests must go through our online booking system.
Can I walk around Harvard campus?
You can definitely just walk around, although you’ll learn more of the history if you do the guided tours. There’s also a self-guided “Harvard Tour” app on the iPhone I once used that wasn’t too bad.

We offer in-person and virtual info sessions and tours each week. Head over to our Visit page to sign up! Please note that reservations are required and all campus visitors must be vaccinated and submit a health attestation 12 hours before visiting.
Are guests allowed in Harvard dorms?
You may only host guests with the express permission of your House Office or proctor. Overnight guests will not be granted an ID card to swipe into Harvard spaces, so you should plan to accompany your guests during their visit. Campus visitors must follow all University policies while on campus.

Currently, visitors are welcome in outdoor spaces on campus and may enter non-residential campus buildings while escorted. Visitors are welcome to campus and must follow all MIT Covid policies while on campus. Visitors are guests coming to MIT to attend a meeting, repair equipment, tour campus or a lab, pay a social visit, drop off a catering order, etc.
