How long does Cutek take to dry?

NOTE: While surface may feel completely dry after several hours, full cure may take up to 7 days. Protect coated surfaces until full cure is achieved. Clean-Up: Equipment may be cleaned with water.

Is Cutek a stain or an oil?

Description. CUTEK® Extreme CD50 is a high-performance, oil-based wood stabiliser with a unique self healing effect. Penetrating deeply into timber, CUTEK® Extreme CD50 highlights the natural grain and beauty of wood whilst providing robust and long-lasting protection.

Can you paint over CD50?

CD50 products cannot be applied over another coating, as they must be free to penetrate inside the timber. Old failed coatings can be removed to restore timber back to its original timber character and colour.

Can you paint over Cutek?

No, generally speaking you cannot. CUTEK® exterior oils must be applied to bare, clean and dry timber. Some oils, stains, paints and films act as a barrier for CUTEK® diffusion/penetration and must be fully removed first.

What if it rains after applying Cutek?

If you already applied the first coat and it rains within a few hours, remove any water excess from the boards, wait until they dry and apply second coat.
