Information on the sticker includes the serial Number, WaterRower contact information and the Water Level Gauge. The standard Calibration Level is Level 17. The maximum level to fill the tank is Level 19 – DO NOT fill above this level. Doing so could void your warranty.
How long does it take to put a WaterRower together?

Assembling your WaterRower takes about 30-45 minutes and the only tool you need is a 5mm Allen Key that is included on the rear spacer or in the assembly bag. The WaterRower comes partially assembled in two boxes.
Can I put bleach in my WaterRower?
NEVER USE POOL CHLORINE OR CHLORINE BLEACH in the tank as this will irreparably damage the polycarbonate tank. To maintain the appearance and integrity of your WaterRower it is necessary to keep the machine clean.
How do you set up a rowing machine?
On your first row, set the damper setting between 3-5 and start rowing. Adjust the handle as needed to provide a high quality aerobic session. You should be able to maintain 24 to 30 strokes per minute. Once you’re comfortable with the resistance setting that feels best, select “more options” from the main menu.
How often should I change the water in my WaterRower?
We recommend adding 1 tablet to the water every 6 months. If the water turns cloudy and the tablet does not clear up the water, then it may be best to change out the water. Please use the hand syphon pump and refer to our service website on how to remove the water.
Should I use distilled water in my WaterRower?
Distilled or Purified Water has these additives removed, promoting algae growth and should therefore be avoided.
Do water rowers leak?
The usual issue with WaterRower’s foot rests – see comments above. The tank may leak – but most last for years and it’s easy to repair.

How do you increase WaterRower resistance?
By replicating these dynamics the WaterRower does not require adjustment to increase resistance: if a more intensive workout is required, simply row faster and harder, and the WaterRower will respond accordingly. The amount of water in the tank simulates the weight of the boat and crew as it glides down the river.
How many strokes is 2000 meters?
2,000-meters will take you 8 minutes and so on and so forth. Strokes per minute is exactly what it sounds like: 28 s/m means you’re doing 28 strokes every minute.
How do I get rid of algae in my WaterRower?
If you find that your tank has grown algae due to lack of maintenance with purification tablets, empty as much of the algae infested water as you can then fill the tank back up to where it was filled to previously. Next, add a 1/4 cup of an algae cleaner (we’ve recommended Pondcare Microbial Algae Clean solution).
What kind of water should I put in my WaterRower?
municipal tap water
We recommend municipal tap water for your water tank. If you do not have access to municipal water, we suggest using bottled water. You will need approximately 3½ gallons to fill the tank to the desired water level.
