As an action, you target one undead creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target must obey your commands for the next 24 hours, or until you use this Channel Divinity option again.
What controls undead DND?
You command them by voice and they understand you, no matter what language you speak. Even if vocal communication is impossible the controlled undead do not attack you. At the end of the spell, the subjects revert to their normal behavior. Intelligent undead creatures remember that you controlled them.

Casting at level 5 gives you 6 new undead, or assert control over 8. So, you could always choose to spend all 3 level 4 slots to create 18 undead, then spend your level 6 slot and one level 5 slot to assert control over all 18.

Raise Dead even calls out not being able to revive undead, but Revivify does not. It’s a creature turning into another creature either way. Or, more accurately, it’s a creature changing its type either way.

The Death Knight being Undead is immune to effects of poison, disease, bleeding, as you need to be living in order for those things to really affect you.
