- Detangle, section, and smooth hair before styling.
- Hold the tool vertically.
- Grab a 1-2″ section of hair and wrap it around the barrel.
- Close WET TO DRY for 3-5 seconds.
- For beach waves, take a smaller section, and wrap hair in alternate directions for a more undone texture.

Do you use InStyler on wet or dry hair?
To start, I blow-dried my wet hair. (You can use it when your hair is wet too, but I thought it would be easier to try for the first time when my hair was dry.) I also added a heat protection spray to protect my hair from the iron’s hot temps. I started from the back and worked my way to the front.
