How do I learn Speedflying?
If you want to learn speedflying I would suggest getting at least 100-150 jumps under your belt and also do a couple canopy courses while at a DZ. Your landings need to be perfect every time. It amazes me how many paragliders and skydivers cant land on their feet.
How safe is speed flying?
Speed Flying and Speed Riding are dangerous. You could suffer serious injury or death as a result of using this equipment. Using this equipment improperly greatly increases the risks involved. Never use this equipment without proper and thorough instruction from a qualified instructor.

Is flying speed hard?
it is also very dangerous with a high risk of injury or even death. Wings can reach speeds in excess of 100km/h in the hands of the top Speed Flyers but normally are flown between 35 & 70 km/h and unlike Paragliding you don’t have a reserve/safety parachute if anything goes wrong.

How much does it cost to start paragliding?
Prices for a complete set of gear range from $3,000-$6,000, and training for a basic license (USHPA’s P2, which qualifies a student to fly on their own, without a tandem pilot) costs around $1,000. Once you’ve got the gear and the training, paragliding is essentially free.
