Accuracy? With decent ball ammunition a PSL in good condition can be expected to shoot into 1.75 to 3 MOA. A rifle with an excellent bore and crown can be expected to cut this down to 1.25 to 1.5 MOA with Match ammunition.
Is a PSL rifle any good?
Not only has the PSL proved to be an overall accurate rifle, it delivered consistent performance well within the parameters it was designed for. There is no surprise why these rifles perform so well at my sniper classes.
What is the difference between a PSL and a Dragunov?
Both the SVD and PSL utilize PSO-designated optics. For those reasons, the PSL is often called the “Romanian Dragunov,” but that is a misnomer. Though the two may in fact be similar in appearance the guns are mechanically completely different and no parts are interchangeable not even the magazine.
Is the Dragunov an AK?
The Dragunov’s receiver bears a number of similarities to the AK action, such as the large dust cover, iron sights and lever safety selector, but these similarities are primarily cosmetic in nature, because the Dragunov uses a short-stroke action as opposed to the long-stroke operating mechanism of the AK.

Is the Dragunov a sniper or DMR?
As a semi-automatic rifle, the Dragunov SVD was more akin to a Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR), terminology used today to differentiate a squad-level precision rifle over that of a traditional accuracy-minded sniper rifle (which typically uses a manual bolt-action system).
How accurate is an SVD?
When using standard grade 57-N-323S cartridges, the accuracy of the SVD is reduced to 2.21 MOA extreme vertical spread. The extreme vertical spreads for the SVD are established by shooting 5-shot groups at 300 m range.
Is the PSL a Dragunov?
Design. The PSL is chambered for the same venerable 7.62×54mmR (rimmed) cartridge as the Dragunov, and feeds from a ten-round detachable box magazine.
Is a Dragunov an AK 47?
