Magnificent palace set in beautiful landscaped grounds. If you do not wish to, or do not have time to visit the palace you can enjoy a walk in the grounds and wonderful views of the palace by entering the grounds via a free public pathway.
Is Blenheim Palace open for walking?
Blenheim Park for Free COVID-19 Update: Blenheim Park is open and free to enter via the footpaths. The palace and formal gardens are closed from 10th – 27th February but you will still be able to enter via the gate. It is strongly recommended that face masks still be worn inside the palace.

Since opening to the public on 1st April 1950 Blenheim Palace has opened on a seasonal basis, closing for the winter to allow for staff to undertake the annual deep clean. However next year, from its opening on 13th February, Blenheim Palace will remain open to the public all year.

Can you take photos inside Blenheim Palace?
Photography inside the Palace is permitted but we ask that flash is kept off to prevent damage to our artefacts. Tripods and selfie sticks are not permitted inside the Palace. Wedding photography is not permitted onsite unless prior consent is obtained or a wedding is officially held at Blenheim Palace.

Yes it looks slightly like you’re breaking and entering but no worries – it’s a public footpath for everyone to use.
Why is Blenheim Palace closed in February?
Due to a large filming event, access to Blenheim Palace and Gardens will be limited in February and March 2022. This will involve the business closing and access to some of the areas around the palace being restricted at times.

This session is suitable for all ability levels, however we advise you should have some open water experience and be able to swim at least 100m comfortably without stopping (in any stroke).
