Can You Bring Food Into the Fernbank Museum? While the Fernbank Cafe offers food and beverages, you can bring your own lunch for yourself and your family. Although no food is permitted in the exhibit galleries, you can eat in the cafe, on one of the museum benches, or outside on the patio.

We typically recommend people plan a minimum of 1 1/2 hours for a fast-paced, casual visit. Allow for just under an hour for IMAX, in addition to the museum visit. As others have noted, if you want to engage more with the content, including reading panels, watching videos, etc., you should allow yourself more time.

The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You’ll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren’t allowed on this trail. This trail is only available to Fernbank Museum guests. Entrance fee is $20 per person.
