Are EKU dorms coed?

At this time, EKU Housing is not offering single-gender halls. However most Co-Ed buildings are single gender by floor.

Does EKU have single dorms?

We do not offer private rooms to our residents due to space limitations. If you require a single room and are a sophomore or above, Grand Campus and the South Hall are options with single-person bedrooms.

Can you pick your roommate at EKU?

The student with the earliest room selection date and time can select a room for both students, but both individuals must agree to live together, in the Residence Hall that was selected. If you do not have a roommate, you can use the roommate match capability in the system.

Does EKU have dorms?

Residents are asked to examine all furniture provided by EKU Housing and Residence Life and complete their room inventory as explained above. Most Residence Halls have central heat and air that are on a system of heated and chilled water which cannot be controlled individually.

Is EKU a dry campus?

Eastern Kentucky University is an alcohol-free campus except for areas designated by the President, including Grand Campus and specific events at the Center for the Arts. All Residence Halls except Grand Campus (if you are over the age of 21) are alcohol-free.

Is there a curfew at EKU?

Guests must be 18 or older to visit a resident in the halls. People under the age of 18 may be permitted in the building if they are with a parent or guardian between 10:00am and 8:00pm. Guests under 18 are not permitted to stay in any hall overnight.

Unless eligible to live off campus, all students enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University are required to live on campus.
