How do I update my admiralty standard nautical charts?
On the front (top left-hand corner) of the paper one, you will find the notice numbers which are contained within that edition. Find the correct edition then search by notice number for the correction. The notice will then give you the co-ordinates and correction that you need to apply.
How often are chart correction published?
These are published twice a year in January and July. The main purpose of them is to provide a list of current editions of all Admiralty Charts and the serial numbers of notices affecting them which have been issued in previous two years.
How do I update my nautical publication?
Take out tracing of correction or position from weekly NTM /Annual summary of NTM, one by one from bottom, update chart, write correction number in bottom left corner and in chart correction book. Do up to last correction and write on the back of chart “Corrected up to NTM (No of NTM) / (year)”.

What is NP133A?

How often are nautical charts updated?
Many things can affect the overall coast line, water depth, and navigation aids like buoys or signal lights. Charts can be updated as frequently as every six months.
What is T and P corrections?
Temporary and Preliminary (T & P) corrections are carried out in pencil and are erased after they are canceled or superseded by permanent correction. Navigational warnings are listed under Navareas. A New edition of a chart is issued when the major portion of a chart is revised.
