What is Quad Tone Rip?
What is Quad Tone Rip?
Quad Tone Rip being such a versatile software package supports many different combinations of printers and inks. Only Epson printers are supported. Many are profiled for several papers and are ready-to-go. Others are available for customization. Printers with Epson UltraChrome Inks or similar inks.
What is Piezography?
Piezography is the highest-quality, and most-archival, digital black and white ink printing system ever invented. Traditional Piezography has finely calibrated hues: Carbon, Selenium, Warm Neutral, Neutral, and Special Edition. Piezography Pro has two hues (Warm and Cool) that get blended together in endless variation.
What is Qtr software?
Quad Tone Rip is a versatile software package that offers a simple turnkey method of printing black & white images on a variety of inkjet printers.
What is piezo inkjet printing?
A piezo inkjet printer is a type of inkjet printer that uses printer heads containing special crystals to which an electric current is applied. This causes the crystals to expand, forcing ink onto a substrate. When the current is removed, the crystal shrinks again, drawing up ink into the printer head.
Which printer uses piezoelectric?
Epson Printers
Today, there are two primary types of inkjet print head technologies in use: Piezo (Epson Printers) and Thermal (Canon and HP Printers).
How does a piezoelectric printhead work?
How does piezoelectric printer work?
What is piezoelectric printhead?
Piezo printhead uses an electrical charge to cause the piezoelectric crystal to change shape and push the ink out of the printer nozzle. Simply speaking, it is the process of pressing out the ink from the nozzle by applying a voltage to the piezoelectric crystal, causing it to deform slightly and at high speed.
What is piezoelectric head?
Piezo heads work by way of the expansion and contraction of a piezo crystal (usually lead zirconate titanate, known as PXT) located at the back of the ink reservoir. The crystal expands and contracts (or flexes) when an electric current is passed through it.
Which printhead is best?
Piezoelectric printheads are best for UV cured, aqueous, and solvent-based ink. The alternative to piezoelectric printheads is thermal inkjet technology. In thermal technology, the printhead is operated by heat instead of electricity.
