What is a BYID?
BYID cards are issued strictly to persons between the ages of 19 and 35 for the sole purpose of confirming the bearer has attained the age of 19 years in order to purchase beverage alcohol in Ontario.
Does LCBO take health cards as ID?
By law, no one can be required to produce the Ontario Health Card, nor can the health number be collected. You should not ask for the Ontario Health Card as identification, but if offered voluntarily you may accept it at your discretion.

Can you accept a photo of ID?
It will not be accepted no. All you are going to have happen if you will try to buy alcohol/cigarettes. They will ask for ID, you will give them the scanned copy and they will ask you to leave and so you will leave empty handed. That will happen to you probably 9/10.

Your ID must have your photo on as well as DOB, some places might not accept anything other than a UK driving licence or a passport, government issued ID is NOT always acceptable.

Can you use a birth certificate as ID to buy alcohol?
A birth certificate doesn’t really prove much with regards to purchasing alcohol, so it is probably not something to rely on (and you really don’t want to lose it either). You could try getting a PASS card though. I believe they have a “high priority” option if you need it quickly.
Is an expired drivers license valid ID Ontario?
Expired documents are not acceptable, with the exception of an Ontario driver’s licence or Ontario enhanced driver’s licence that is expired less than one year.
