How many bus routes are in Auckland?
In total there are 207 routes in the report – although some of these routes have since been cut or changed and so no longer run. To get a better idea as to our busiest corridors, I’ve grouped the routes together where possible.
Where does the inner link go?
InnerLink bus to get around the inner city The InnerLink is the easiest way to get around Auckland’s inner city. It operates from the Britomart train station, out to Parnell, through Newmarket, along Karangahape Rd, Ponsonby Road, past Victoria Park and then back to Britomart via the viaduct.
Where does outer link stop?
It runs from Wellesley St, past the Universities, through Parnell, Newmarket, Epsom, Balmoral, Mt Eden, St Lukes, Mt Albert, out to the Meola Rd entrance to MOTAT, through Westmere, Herne Bay and then back to Wellesley St.

How do you use the bus in Auckland?

City Rail Link Ltd will handover the CRL to Auckland Transport which run the rail services in Auckland. City Rail Link City is planned to be completed late 2024, but City Rail Link Ltd is currently assessing the impact the Covid-19 pandemic is having on the project’s construction timetable and its costs.
How do you get around Auckland City?
The best way to get around Auckland is via the cheap and efficient Link buses. Walking is another viable option in the city center. Taxis and rental cars are also available, but these are more expensive and prone to frustrations like traffic and limited parking spots.
