What does the MyFord app do?

BARCELONA, Spain, March 2, 2015 – Ford is launching a new app that enables electric vehicle drivers to remotely connect their smartphone with the car to manage charging – and even set a chosen cabin temperature before their journey. Ford announced the launch of MyFord Mobile at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Is MyFord app free?

Consumers will initially receive MyFord Mobile free of charge at purchase, and for a fee after the initial 5 year subscription subsides. Additional information regarding MyFord Mobile interaction with Ford vehicles can be found on: ford.com/cmax, myfordmobile.eu or plugintoford.com.

What is Ford Pass features?

FordPass can access vehicle information and service needs. Plus, the FordPass can sync with your vehicle, allowing you to start, check fuel levels or even unlock your vehicle! So, if you need to view your vehicle’s account, pay a bill or even schedule a service appointment, you can do all of that with this app.

What is My Ford Touch system?

The SYNC® with MyFord Touch® system allows you hands-free access to all the information in your phone. It simply uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to connect your phone to your vehicle. You’ll be able to effortlessly use voice commands, touchscreen commands, or steering wheel buttons to control the system.

Can FordPass track your car?

The Vehicle Location feature in FordPass™ allows you to find the location of your parked vehicle. Note: Ford Motor Company is not able to track or disable vehicles. We recommend contacting your local police department regarding stolen vehicles.

Can you remote start with FordPass?

Members who own Ford vehicles equipped with SYNC Connect can use FordPass to access vehicle features such as remote start; lock and unlock; fuel, oil and battery levels and tire pressure readings.

Is FordPass free for life?

If your FordPass Connect equipped vehicle has eCall that feature will remain free for the lifetime of the vehicle.

Does sync with MyFord Touch have navigation?

Your SYNC® with MyFord Touch®-equipped vehicle gives you voice and touch control to easily reach your destination and avoid traffic along the way. SYNC Services offers several ways to get directions as well as smart routing options, detailed map views (if equipped with Navigation), and personalized traffic information.

How do I add apps to MyFord Touch?

  1. Press the Voice button on your steering wheel.
  2. Say the command “Mobile Apps.”
  3. SYNC will respond, “Mobile apps, please say a command.” State the name of the application. You can also say “List Mobile Apps” to hear a listing of available apps.
  4. Control the application using the appropriate commands.

Does FordPass work without wifi?

FordPass is awesome and works well, but relies on connectivity. Not only does your cell need internet connectivity via cell or wifi, but your Bronco needs connectivity via ATT cell network. If your phone is getting T-Mobile service but your Bronco can’t get ATT, then no unlock.
