If you’re a new customer, we’ll collect your deposit from your bank account within seven working days. If you’re renewing your policy, we’ll collect your deposit from your bank account within seven working days from your renewal date.
How does AXA excess work?
How the excess works: Typically, each person covered by your membership has their own excess in each membership year. We deduct the excess from an amount we would otherwise have paid. The excess is applied to the first claim(s) made in that membership year, until it has been cleared.
What is AXA premium charge?
Premium Charge is 35% of your annual premium, charged for the first three (3) years if the product you purchased is aXelerator or academiX; and charged for the first five (5) years if the policy you purchased is Life BasiX. A 2% Premium Charge will also be deducted from all top-ups made.
How can I get proof of no claims?
Some new providers will ask your old provider for the proof of no-claims discount themselves – they’ll let you know if they do. If not, you may find the details on your renewal letter or on the cancellation notice you’ll receive if you’re switching. If not, contact your provider and ask them to send you the proof.
Can I withdraw my money from AXA?

Do I have to pay the excess if it is not my fault AXA?
Do I always have to pay the excess? Following a claim, you will normally have to pay your excess. However, if you have comprehensive cover with AXA and we can establish that the claim was not your fault, we’ll refund this back to you.
Do I need to pay excess if my fault?
If the other driver has admitted fault and has already told their insurer, your excess might be waived. But usually you’ll have to pay it – so make sure you can afford it. When your insurer is certain you’re not at fault, you’ll get it back.
Can I withdraw my AXA insurance?
For cash or check withdrawals, you may go through our normal withdrawal process via the AXA branches or ask assistance from your financial advisor.
