The Straz Center serves a very diverse population and encourages its patrons to dress in the style clothing that makes them feel comfortable. It is not necessary to wear a tuxedo or evening gown to a performance, though you may dress formally if you like.

The 2,610 seat Carol Morsani Hall (with Ruth Silbiger lobby) has a 60 foot high proscenium with playing depth of 55 feet and a total stage width of 120 feet. Combined with an 11-story backstage, it easily accommodates major Broadway productions, operas, ballets and orchestral concerts.

For best seat, we’re thinking Section 117, Row M, Seat 17 — on the aisle, so you don’t have to deal with the tight legroom; those cup holders, while certainly a benevolent addition, are brutal on the knees. By the way, I’m all for the thrill of floor seats.
