How do you use Blanchon maintenance oil?
The oil itself is supplied ready to use, just shake well before use. The oil should also be stirred regularly before use. In a well ventilated room spread the oil evenly in a fine coat, using a cotton cloth, a microfiber brush or an applicator brush. This should be done along the grain of the wood.

Buffing the oil like this enables you to achieve a beautiful uniform finish, that deeply impregnates the wood. Failing to buff the coloured hard wax oil at this stage can result in a finish with undesirable excess thickness on the surface.

If you want to use any oil on your floor, but especially a wax oil it is recommended to sand the floor with a 150 grit sandpaper or coarser. Then this product will be ideal for you.
