What is BEVA 371?

Beva® Film is an adhesive, genuine Professor Gustav Berger’s 371 formula (Berger Ethylene Vinyl Acetate 371), created specifically for conservation applications. We have it available as an adhesive film sandwiched between white silicone-coated paper and a polyester supporting sheet.

How do you use beva film?

Just cut the film into your desired shape and place where needed. Insert into loose areas. While adhesive is inactive, properly align delaminating paint, then activate adhesive with a hot air gun, tacking iron or vacuum heat table at a temperature of 150–160°F (65–70°C).

How do you attach linen to wood?

HOW TO:

  1. Cut linen to size leaving 1 inch allowance for shrinkage.
  2. Degrease hardbord with alcohol front and backsides.
  3. Seal the hardbord by brushing front, back and sides with Golden GAC 100.
  4. Glue the linen on the panel: Brush on Gamblin PVA size glue on hardbord and back side of linen.
