How do I study for CSMLS?

The CSMLS does not provide a ‘study guide’ for any of our exams. There are no study guides or preparation courses that are sanctioned by the CSMLS. You must prepare your own study notes and prioritize your study time using the Competency Profile and Blueprints.

Who is eligible for CSMLS exam?

A graduate of non-accredited program must first complete a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) to determine eligibility to the CSMLS certification exam. The PLA will determine if they are eligible to challenge the Exam based on their education, clinical training, and experience.

How many times can you write the CSMLS exam?

If the candidate successfully completes their second program they become eligible to take the CSMLS Certification Exam with a three (3) attempt cycle. Candidates cannot write the CSMLS Certification Exam more than two (2) consecutive times within twelve (12) months after receiving initial eligibility.
